You can fly into Stornaway from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness in less than an hour and from London in less than three hours. Ferry access is also easy with links from Oban, Mallaig, Uig on Skye and Ullapool to Castlebay on Barra in the south, Lochboisdale on South Uist, Lochmaddy on North Uist, Tarbet on Harris and Stornaway on Lewis. Once on the islands cars bikes and buses are all available to help you get around. Most main islands are linked directly by road over a bridge or causeway and those that are not, are linked by regular and efficient ferries.
